Your privacy is important to the Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program (NIDCAP) Federation International (NFI), Inc. This Privacy Notice (notice) outlines what personal or sensitive information (“PI”) is collected about Members and visitors to the NFI website, and how that information is used.
What Information Do We Collect and Why?
Mailing List and Membership Application Information: Should you wish to receive information, newsletters and notices from the NFI, you can sign up for our mailing list through the website and we will collect personal information (PI) such as your name, email address, and street or other postal mailing address as part of that process. Should you wish to further enhance your experience with the NFI, you can become an NFI member by filling out a Membership Application Form, where you will provide the PI listed above, as well as additional information such as telephone numbers, NIDCAP certification and training details (for professionals), or NICU hospital details (for families). The information you provide to the NFI on the Membership Application Form allows the NFI to provide Member services to you, and allows you to access articles, information and publications that the NFI maintains. In addition, becoming a Member will allow you to access our training and certification database. You can of course choose not to sign up on NIDCAP’s website or become a NIDCAP Member, and as a result not disclose personal information to us. However, if you do not join the mailing list or become a Member, you will be able to browse the website, but you will not be able to receive certain NIDCAP notices or access all NIDCAP content
Payment or Donation Information: We collect certain limited payment information when you pay membership dues: we collect only your method of payment (for example, credit card, check, etc.); we do not collect or store your credit or debit card account information. We collect certain limited donation information if you make a donation to NFI: we collect your name, address, email, donation amount, and method of payment.
How, and With Whom, Is My Information Shared?
We will never sell your PI to third parties. We will share your PI with third parties only in the ways that are described in this notice.
Information Shared with Our Members and Others Who Assist Us: We work with volunteers and other entities that perform certain tasks on our behalf. These people or entities may need to have access to PI, including but not limited to access to PI in the training and certification database to verify training and credentials, in order to provide services to us or you. Unless we tell you differently, they do not have any right to use PI we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us.
Information We Share With Your Consent: Except as set forth above, we will not share your PI with third parties without seeking your consent.

You are responsible for your own “cookie” preferences. Please note that changing “cookie” preferences may affect your ability to access NIDCAP’s website.
Is Information About Me Accurate, Complete and Secure?
We make every effort to protect your PI to ensure that it is accurate, complete, and kept private, in a manner consistent with industry standards. We protect your PI by securing hard copy Membership forms once data entry is verified, and/or maintaining it on servers that are protected by physical and electronic safeguards. Unfortunately, no data protection or transmission method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
What Information of Mine Can I Access, Change, Update or Delete?
You can access, change, update, or delete your Membership information by contacting email@example.com. Should you ever decide to cancel your Membership, you may do so by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that we will need to verify that you have the authority to cancel the Membership, and activity generated prior to cancellation will remain stored by us and may be shared with third parties as described in this notice. If you choose to delete your Membership, you will no longer be able to receive the benefits of Membership.
