This one-day conference, hosted by NIDCAP Germany, Training Center Tübingen, on behalf of the NIDCAP Federation International (NFI), is held in conjunction with the 33rd Annual NIDCAP Trainers Meeting. NIDCAP Trainers, NIDCAP Professionals and NIDCAP Training Centre Directors from around the world convene to discuss issues around optimizing preterm and term infant care through the NIDCAP approach.
Our focus this year will be on the changes that occur from NIDCAP implementation, such as what developmental care may mean for the immature brain, or how it affects our relationship with our small patients‘ parents and families. We will also learn from the experiences of other countries in how they have implemented the NIDCAP model of care through advocating for preterm infants and their families in the political arena. In addition to scientific reviews, we will relate the theoretical framework to our daily work in the NICU.
The conference will be a hybrid format so as to accommodate those who wish to attend in person as well as those whose preference is to attend virtually. We look forward to seeing you in whichever format you choose to attend!
